We Need to Talk (microfiction)

To celebrate the introduction of 280-character Tweets by Twitter, Meanjin Quarterly ran a microfiction competition. The “@Meanjin Twiction” rules were simple, tweet a 280-character story and include the hashtag #meanjin280! The prize? Microfiction Dream

I once had a dream that was so real and intense it reminded me of the Chinese Philosopher, Chuang Chou, who dreamed he was a “butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, a veritable butterfly, enjoying itself to the full of its bent, and not knowing it was Chuang Chou”.
